Update

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

If you didn't know that the next get-together is confirmed for September 28th at 2:30 pm, it's because you didn't sign up for the Listserv yet, or because the Listserv messages are stuck in your spam folder. Do what you need to do to continue to receive Burgh Mom updates via the Listserv, because this domain is going to be getting re-purposed very soon.

In case you haven't heard what's coming in this space, Burgh Mom is going to be used as was originally intended--as a resource for Pittsburgh Moms and Dads. It will have blog posts from several Pittsburgh Moms (or Dads, if I can find any willing to contribute!) with information such as ideas for things to do with the kids, reviews of local attractions, recipes, smart shopping tips, book reviews, how-to guides, and all kinds of other information that is of use to Pittsburgh Moms and Dads. Burgh Mom will also highlight some of the best blog posts the Burgh Moms have posted on their personal sites.

If you are interested in contributing and we haven't already talked about it, shoot me an email at burghbaby@gmail.com. It pays absolutely nothing, but is a chance to drive traffic to your site (if you want) and to share your knowledge with others in a semi-public forum. You can contribute as often as once per week, or only occassionally.

Thanks!

You know I'm up for helping out with the site :) Maybe you and I should get together for a pow-wow to talk about the details? That is if you still want me to help build it! (I can also throw in hosting too, I have a ton of space I don't use with my business!)

I can do something, whatever you choose. I can do recipes, maybe a book review, fun things for kids to do ... whatever!

You are getting together on a Sunday at 2:30? HMMM ... I may be able to come. My daughters bday party is on Saturday and Sunday I think I can be outta church by 12:30 ...

Oh... people have told me I could have a career as a party planner...I can do something to that affect on the blog. My WildChilds bday party is a SPA Theme where we will be making homemade perfume, body glitter and lip gloss, a neighbor preteen will be doing hairstyles and manicures (super girly).

Count me in too. I need to partner with a dad on one of my ideas...listings of places that do and do not have changing tables. I don't generally venture into the men's room so I'm on the hunt for a male collaborator.

I'm in!

Pittsburgh RAD days are coming up (uh, like next Saturday). What's the re-purposing launch date? (Sorry, I work someplace with a website that is being updated. We've passed our third launch date so far! No new site yet.)

ciao!
